JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview
•The position is a part of new business development team and the incumbent should be responsible for hands on contribution to the system and application engineering – Energy Storage Solutions.
•The candidate will play an integral role to deliver in-house & customer focused hybrid energy solutions (e.g. solar, wind ESS integration, C&I Applications etc).
•Execute design & application engineering including system integration in both behind the meter and front of meter applications. He/she will be responsible for selection of battery system (New batteries & second life batteries), PCS components, EMS Software.
•The responsibilities also include evaluating and preparing business cases across variety of applications, techno-commercial comparisons.
•The candidate should have firm understanding of battery & energy management control system. Through understanding or ecosystem suppliers is an added advantage.

Essential Responsibilities
•System development, application engineering and system integration of the complete hybrid energy storage solution architecture.
•Conduct onsite technical surveys, data analysis & evaluate all techno-commercial parameters and do the application engineering to propose appropriate solutions to win the business.
•Concept design of KW to MW level Hybrid energy storage solutions including system sizing calculations for solar, wind, ESS for the projects.
•Develop technical specifications, scope of work and Bill of material for engineering firms and contractors.
•Technical, financial & value proposition analysis of business models/Products/Solutions/ leading to win-win strategic business case across varied markets segments/applications and in house technology demonstration projects.
•Continuous support during project development phase (Technical Simulations, Supplier coordination, Project management & documentation)
•Chartering New Business Growth Avenues
•Business Development – Solution selling to potential clients & market stakeholder interactions.
•Identify potential partners (young tech companies/startups/incumbents) to approach & evaluate technical value proposition for their business and use case and map those with internal objectives thus help develop long term key partnerships in support of key markets and business segments.
•Identify applications in new energy ecosystem ( Energy Storage & electric mobility integration) e.g. Second life batteries, V2G etc
•Effectively manage stakeholder expectations while working with cross functional internal stakeholders ( Business Development, Planning & Strategy Teams)

Minimum Required Qualifications/Experience/Exposures
•Bachelors/Master Degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering.
•At least 5+ related electrical engineering, system integration/application engineering experience
•Experience in working with product suppliers to carry out system integration & selection
•Excellent engineering management skills.
•The Individual should be highly technical, analytical and possess a sound knowledge of value proposition analysis.
•Precise attention to details and strong solution review skills.
•Flexibility to travel ~20% in a month.
