Job Description
The position is a part of new business development team and the incumbent should be responsible for hands on contribution to the strategy planning for chartering new growth/business areas & drive business development across all focus areas (e.g. Next Mobility, Energy) and as assigned time to time under the programme.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Chartering New Business Growth Avenues
- Strategic planning and create new business models while evaluating the entire technology and business value chain, prioritize market segments, customer base & industry verticals as per internal targets in alignment with global next mobility organization.
- Identify potential partners (young tech companies/startups/incumbents) to approach & evaluate specific value proposition for their business and use case and map those with internal objectives thus help develop long term key partnerships in support of key markets and business segments.
- Prepare strategic proposals and present business cases to the management regarding progress/roadblocks, strategic partnership & Investment opportunities in the target areas and incubate new business in the region.
- Gather market intelligence and screen meaningful insights from time to time and work closely with key business units for achieving mutual business goals.
- Business Development
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial skills & serve as a key member of India New Business Development team Align & drive the target market strategy & technical Strategy for flagship customer accounts.
- Execute the strategic business development/sales plan while working with cross functional internal stakeholders ( e.g. SBUs, legal, finance etc)
- Effectively manage stakeholder expectations & create a robust business pipeline by liaising with prospectus partners & key customers.
- Be a customer/market advocate & collaborate with global & regional functions with effective horizontal working to deliver new businesses and customer values.
- Create techno-commercial benchmarks and develop strategic proposal for customers, manage complex contract/deal negotiations, top level deal tactics to win the business.
- Build focused strategies for marketing & brand penetration in areas of new business models, technologies and solutions.
Minimum Required Qualifications/Experience/Exposures:
- Engineering Graduate with MBA from Tier 1 Management Schools Preferred
- At least 8-10 Years of experience in strategy planning, business development & operations with successful track record of delivering tangible results
- Minimum 2+ years of business development/sales experience in electric mobility, energy storage & charging infrastructure sector and working with direct B2B customers in India.
- The Individual should be highly technical, analytical and possess a significant business development B2B sales or program/product management experience
- Analytical expertise in preparing new business models, financial modeling, and value cost trade-off analysis.
- Experience of partnering & influencing cross functional business units to deliver business outcomes & proven track record & capabilities of working in multi-cultural environment & global conglomerates.
- Flexibility to travel ~30-40% in a month.
