Structural Engineer

Job Description
1In depth knowledge of various analyses which includes designing and constructing buildings and structures that are safe and capable of withstanding the elements to which they will be exposed, as well as improving the structural integrity of existing buildings.
2Working closely on construction plans with clients, architects, and other professionals
3Developing design ideas using CAD software and coordinating with other disciplines and functions throughout design.
4Design checking of engineering calculations
5Coordinating structural standard details to project and specification requirements.
6Investigating the properties of materials like steel and concrete, and advising which is most suitable
7Working out the loads and stresses on different parts of a structure i.e. Assisting in the preparation of Structural specifications
8Using computer simulations to predict how structures will react under different conditions
9Inspecting unsafe buildings and recommending options for repairs or demolition
10Making sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements
11Making job site visits and inspections as needed.
12Supervising project teams
13Giving progress reports to senior management
14Should be Highly experienced in wide range of areas including design of Reinforced Concrete (RC), steel, for industrial projects
15Reasonably good hands-on experience working with various analytical and design software
